I'm Liz Hunter, the owner of Longleaf College Consulting. I have been excited by colleges since I had to choose one myself, and my passion for higher education has continued to grow. My sophomore year led to a work-study opportunity in the admissions office, which then led to a career in college admissions. I have spent the past 20 years helping families with the college admissions process at several North Carolina schools including Meredith, NC State University (Go Pack!), Duke University School of Nursing, and others.

There is so much to consider when thinking about life after high school. I'll let you in on a little secret, just because a school was perfect for your bestie or your parents doesn't mean it will be the right fit for you. That's what I'm here for. My goal is not only to explore and simplify all your college options, but to make the search AMAZING for you!

Planning for college can be stressful. Seriously, talk to your parents; they are freaking out (am I right, parents?). There is no question about that. Include all the opinions and "guidance" from your closest friends, family, and strangers… it's enough to make your head spin. This is where I come in! I get to know you and hear about your big life ideas and ambitions. I get to learn what lights a spark in you and what you like to do when you aren't in school.
